Digiter Calendar Ultra Documentation
Focused, release-aligned setup, workflow, licensing, compatibility, recovery and support guidance for this product.Documentation updated: October 14, 2026Digiter Calendar Ultra 2.8.6
Your own commercial calendar website. Configure it in a few steps.
Product overview
Digiter Calendar Ultra is a ready-made commercial calendar website packaged as a WordPress plugin, ready to configure in a few steps. Six complete landing designs include the original kalendar.cc page and five new designs, with violet Aurora as default. Set your brand, customer price and monthly or yearly billing; receive payments directly in your own PayPal Business account. Calendar, timeline, board, workload, subscription management and free access codes are included. Standard WordPress login works without extra plugins. The optional free Digiter Account adds your own account name, photo uploads and 20 original avatars. CHF 299/year licenses private use and your own commercial calendar service on one domain during the active paid term.
Digiter Calendar Ultra includes the optional free Account companion. The Digiter license costs CHF 299/year; your own customer service price is defined separately by you.
Demo, purchase, delivery and activation
- The Shop product card provides the reviewed complete license-gated ZIP only after Customer Account login and email confirmation. No license is needed for the product's declared minimal Demo function.
- For a downloadable commercial plan, Digiter Shop waits for verified PayPal confirmation, issues the domain-bound signed license and sends the protected full-package download and license key to the checkout email.
- The Demo and commercial delivery use the same complete license-gated product version. Activating a valid key unlocks the full installed capacity without reinstallation; the paid email link remains available for a clean copy or recovery.
- Eligible Account purchases also expose current protected downloads while update access remains active. Download counts, expiry, domain and plan terms remain those recorded for the order.
- Private signed releases integrate with the standard WordPress Plugins and Dashboard Updates screens. Update eligibility follows the purchased update period and does not change the permanent-use term of a Lifetime license.
Current release highlights
- When a reviewed license-gated Demo is available, a confirmed Customer Account can download it from the Shop product card.

Customers and manual service activation
- Open Customers under the Account or Calendar WordPress menu. Search by name, email or username, filter blocked accounts, and choose Manage. Site administrator privileges are required. Your own account and other administrators are protected.
- Add customer creates an activated WordPress Subscriber. Choose manual Calendar activation through a date or leave the date empty for no expiry. A chosen date includes the full day in the site timezone. An optional password setup email explains login, access, limits and support. No email is sent unless selected.
- Manage can block or unblock the account and end existing sessions, activate a pending Account, grant or extend Calendar access, revoke only a manual grant, or block/unblock Calendar separately while leaving login and payment management available. Manual grants do not create charges or cancel existing PayPal subscriptions. Revoking a manual grant preserves independently paid or valid access-code entitlement.
- Delete customer requires confirmation, the exact email address and a recipient for owned calendars and WordPress content. Calendar tasks and other members are preserved, pending invitations are revoked and the deleted user leaves shared calendars. Payment records remain with their original service. Review recurring agreements separately: blocking or deleting a customer does not cancel PayPal renewal.
- The customer list and Calendar service controls also work without Digiter Account, using native WordPress users. Other connected plugins keep their own licensing and service-entitlement rules. In private mode, normal workspace rules remain in force; a manual grant additionally permits personal calendar creation.
- Calendar has three roles: Owner, Editor and Guest. Owner manages tasks, settings, invitations and members. Editor adds and updates tasks and dates; Guest reads only. Invited people cannot invite others or manage members. WordPress administrators must already belong to the calendar before using its member controls. Previous Manager memberships become Editor on upgrade.
Invitation history and email delivery
- Send invitation is available directly beside Export in the calendar heading to the calendar owner and site administrators who belong to that calendar. It opens Members & invitations with the email field focused. Invited Editors and Guests cannot send invitations or manage members.
- Beside Email address, choose the invitation role: Guest · read only or Editor · can add and edit tasks. Guest is selected by default and cannot change the calendar. Editor can add tasks and update existing tasks and dates. Neither can invite others, change settings, block people or manage members. The selected role is recorded in the invitation email and applied when accepted.
- A Guest may view the calendar to which they were invited without an owner subscription. After buying their own subscription, they may create and fully manage their own calendars as Owner, including invitations. Their subscription does not change their Guest role or grant editing or member-management rights in somebody else’s calendar.
- All invitations lists pending, accepted, expired, revoked and failed attempts with their creation and expiry dates. Load more reveals older entries. Revoke stops a pending link and releases its reserved seat. Remove from list hides the record and revokes a pending link; an already accepted member remains a member.
- Resend creates a fresh seven-day invitation and invalidates earlier pending links for that address and calendar. A short cooldown prevents accidental repeats. Failed email attempts remain visible for retry or removal.
- Mail server accepted means the sending server accepted the message, not that the recipient inbox received it. If mail does not arrive, review the recipient spam folder and the sending server queue or bounce logs. Configure SMTP, SPF, public DKIM and DMARC; server IP reputation and recipient filtering can reject a message after WordPress reports acceptance.
Direct sign out and member/sidebar actions
- Sign out is always available in the calendar top bar and sidebar. It ends the current WordPress session and returns to the Calendar landing page without opening Account.
- Right-click a member avatar or a member in the left sidebar. On touch screens open the presence list or Members & invitations and tap the member’s ⋯ button. Only the calendar owner or a WordPress site administrator already in that calendar can change roles, block/unblock or remove others. The owner and your own membership are protected.
- Editor can add and update tasks; Guest can only read. Invited people cannot send further invitations. Blocking immediately removes calendar access and presence but keeps the membership and its reserved place until removal. Unblock explicitly as guest or editor. Removing membership revokes pending invitations and frees its place when it is not used in another calendar of the same owner. Accounts, other calendars and tasks are preserved.
- Pending invitations have a Revoke invitation control and a context menu. A revoked link cannot be accepted. Right-click sidebar projects to open, create a permitted task, rename or delete the project; saved views can be opened, renamed or removed from this browser. Shift+F10 opens the menu; arrow keys navigate, Enter activates and Escape closes.
- Account includes a persistent Back to calendar link and Get support. The support address defaults to admin@your-site-domain and can be changed in the Account plugin settings. Calendar also works with native WordPress authentication without the optional Account plugin.
A complete calendar website in a few steps
- Install Calendar and activate your domain license. Set the calendar name and support email. The plugin creates its calendar page automatically without replacing an existing homepage.
- Enable Charge customers for calendar access under PayPal payments to show the public commercial landing page; choose your price, currency and billing period, connect your PayPal account and complete business and email settings. Open Website & designs to select the original kalendar.cc landing page, Swiss, Editorial, Nordic, Aurora or Studio. Violet Aurora is the default. Use the homepage checkbox only if this service should be the website homepage. Leave billing disabled for a private workspace.
- The landing designs are bundled templates: changing a design preserves calendars, users, prices and subscriptions. Standard WordPress accounts are supported; enable registration in WordPress only when you want public signups. Existing customer subscriptions retain their agreed terms.
Optional Account, your own name and 20 avatars
- Calendar works without Digiter Account. Standard WordPress login, registration, password recovery and profiles continue to work. My account opens a built-in subscription and access-code page.
- The free Account companion adds a custom account name, integrated subscription panels and My picture. Enter your brand under Account → Account name. Login, Account headings, Calendar account links and confirmation emails use that name. Plugin identity remains stable for updates.
- My picture includes 20 original characters and upload of JPG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB / 16 megapixels. Uploaded images are centre-cropped and re-encoded as a 512-pixel JPEG. Replacing a photo removes the previous stored photo. The profile image integrates with WordPress avatar functions.
- For installations where another login or SSO plugin manages authentication, enable Use standard WordPress login in Account settings. Authentication still uses WordPress filters. Test the specific third-party integration on your site; this is not a guarantee for every external plugin.
Live members and clear free-code emails
- Small circular avatars show members who currently have the same calendar open. The list refreshes every 20 seconds and expires after 75 seconds without a heartbeat. Only members of that calendar can see it. It shows display names and pictures, not email addresses. Hidden/closed tabs leave the list; it is not a list of everyone logged into the website.
- Invited people cannot invite further people. Only the owner or a WordPress site administrator already belonging to that calendar can manage membership.
- Free-code emails explain login or registration, the activation page and exact activation steps, included features, five invited people, validity, revocation, usage limits, troubleshooting and support. They clarify that no payment or automatic renewal starts, existing paid subscriptions are not cancelled, and a sharing invitation is separate from a free code.
WordPress dashboard
- Open the calendar plugin in the WordPress menu and select Dashboard. The illustrated overview gives administrators direct access to Calendar settings, Help, PayPal payments and License. Update and Rollback is shown when the current administrator has permission to update plugins.
- The dashboard opens the automatically created calendar page and links to Website & designs. Shortcode placement on another page is optional. The decorative artwork is an illustration, not customer data or a live task preview.
- Dashboard artwork is bundled with the plugin and loads locally. Its text and controls use WordPress translations, and the layout adapts to smaller screens. Dashboard access remains restricted to administrators; opening it does not change subscriptions, tasks or configuration.
License, annual renewal and cancellation
- The Annual plan is CHF 299 per year for one licensed domain, with plugin use and eligible private updates during the paid period. The Shop confirms the current price and terms before payment. The subscription renews annually until cancelled through the Digiter.org Account/provider flow.
- After verified payment, Digiter Shop emails the signed license key and protected delivery link. Browser return from PayPal alone does not activate a license. The delivery contains Calendar and the free compatible Account plugin. Keep your order number and use the same confirmed buyer Account for purchase management.
- Open Calendar → License and paste the complete DNT1 key. A different product, domain, malformed signature or expired annual term cannot unlock Calendar. On renewal, replace the local key with the renewed key delivered by Shop if its expiry changes. Removing a local key or uninstalling the plugin does not cancel PayPal renewal.
- Without a valid license, existing calendars remain readable and exportable. Creating calendars/tasks, changing tasks, settings and memberships are locked. Expiry does not delete your records. The independent kalendar.cc hosted service keeps its own subscription terms.
Run your own paid calendar service
- CHF 299/year licenses Calendar Ultra on one domain for private use and for selling your own hosted calendar service during the active paid license period. Set your customer price and monthly or yearly billing period; payments go directly to your own PayPal Business account. The optional Digiter Account plugin is included free; standard WordPress login is supported.
- The Digiter software license and your customer subscriptions are separate contracts. Digiter sells the plugin license to you. You are the seller and operator of your local calendar service, set its subscription price, receive your customer payments and handle your customer support, cancellations, required refunds, taxes and privacy information. Buying a hosted kalendar.cc subscription does not buy the WordPress plugin license.
- Open Calendar → PayPal payments. Enable Charge customers for calendar access, set Price, Currency and Billing period, then Save customer subscription. The default offer is CHF 49.90 yearly; you may change it. Leave billing disabled for a private workspace. No additional Digiter fee is charged by this plugin for your local customer subscriptions; PayPal fees remain subject to your own PayPal agreement.
- Complete Calendar settings → Support email and Business & privacy with your own seller identity and providers. Enter the credentials from your own PayPal Business app under Test mode or Live payments and choose Save and connect PayPal. Setup creates/verifies the matching recurring plan and webhook; setup itself does not charge a customer.
- The landing page on the calendar shortcode page, Account subscription panel, upgrade prompts, consent text and new customer agreement all use the saved price and period. Saving a changed offer updates those displays immediately. New checkout is paused until PayPal is connected to the matching offer. Exclude the calendar and Account pages from full-page caches, including your hosting/CDN cache.
- Price changes apply to new subscriptions. Every subscription stores the price, currency and billing period the customer accepted. Connecting a changed offer creates a separate PayPal plan and does not modify existing PayPal subscriptions. Old renewals, receipts and access dates continue using their accepted terms. A stale checkout page must be reloaded before purchase.
- In paid-service mode each active owner can invite five people; WordPress administrators are unlimited. Invited editors can add tasks and update existing tasks and dates, without buying a separate owner subscription. Private-workspace mode keeps its membership roles without this subscription seat limit. Free access codes and subscriber PDF reports are available when customer billing is enabled.
- An active Digiter software license is required to operate the commercial plugin and begin new local paid subscriptions. If it expires, new checkout and calendar changes are locked; existing records remain readable, and payment refresh/cancellation stay available. Expiry of your Digiter license does not automatically cancel your customers’ PayPal agreements. Renew in time or stop future customer billing through the customer/PayPal flows before ending your service.
- Test the entire purchase, renewal, cancellation and refund/reversal flow with Sandbox accounts on a staging site before opening paid access. A connected API or a published product is not proof of a completed real transaction. Since earlier releases assume CHF 49.90/year, sites using customer billing cannot roll back below 2.4.1.
Projects, resources and tasks
- Click + beside PROJECTS in the sidebar to create a project. Enter its name, optionally choose a colour, and select Create project or press Enter. The new project opens immediately. Team entry is not part of this flow. Workspace settings starts with projects; expand Team & resources — optional only when you need to configure people, teams or rooms. Existing resources and task assignments are preserved.
- Create a task with a clear title, start and end, project, resource, status and priority. Add notes, estimates, progress, checklist items or custom values when useful. Milestones mark a single point in the plan. Subtasks remain linked to their parent; parent dates summarize their children.
- Task changes are saved to WordPress after validation. Concurrent edits return a conflict instead of silently overwriting another person’s newer version. Reload and compare the task before retrying. Undo/Redo applies to this browser session and checks current task identities and versions.
Timeline and scheduling
- Timeline displays task duration as horizontal bars. Switch scale, move to Today or Fit project, and use filters to focus the plan. Move a bar or adjust its edge to propose date changes. Dependency lines link related tasks.
- Right-click a task or use its action menu to open details, rename, change dates, priority, colour and other supported properties, copy its link/ID or focus the view. Owners can also create permitted duplicates or subtasks and delete eligible tasks. Actions follow the current user’s role.
- Review dependencies before using scheduling. Cyclic links and references outside the current workspace are rejected. Schedule preview explains proposed changes before you apply them. Working days and hours affect schedule calculations; visual weekend shading alone does not change task dates.
- A baseline stores a named planning snapshot for comparison. The workspace retains up to ten baselines. Critical path and workload depend on the dates, dependencies, working calendar and estimates you supply. They are planning aids, not guarantees of delivery dates.
Views, colours and weekend shading
- Use Overview for a summary, List for task details, Board for status, Calendar for dates, Timeline for duration/dependencies, Workload for resource pressure and Notes for project context. Search and filters help isolate the work you need.
- The default appearance is dark. Task colours offer Classic, Pastel, Deep & neutral and Neon groups, plus a custom six-digit HEX colour. The six weekend styles change how Saturdays and Sundays are marked. Saved appearance preferences remain local to the browser.
- The language initially follows the WordPress site language. Supported users may choose another interface language. Missing translated strings and this detailed manual fall back to English; included catalogues do not all have identical coverage.
Members, invitations and access
- Each workspace has separate membership. Owners can create/edit tasks and manage settings. Only the owner or a site administrator already in the calendar can invite/remove members; invited users cannot invite. Editor can add tasks and update existing tasks and dates, but cannot delete tasks, change membership or alter workspace settings. Guest can read.
- Enter the colleague’s email and choose the appropriate role under Members & invitations. Invitations expire after seven days and must be accepted using the invited email. Account confirmation is required when the optional Account companion is active. A link alone does not grant an unrelated Account access.
- Private-workspace mode has no fixed five-person seat limit. Optional paid-service mode includes five invited people per subscribing owner; administrators are unlimited. Site administrator status does not automatically reveal another user’s private workspace; membership remains mandatory.
- The WordPress Calendar administration menu is administrator-only. Optional frontend-only administration hides the toolbar and redirects non-administrators globally; leave it off when authors/editors need the WordPress backend or other Digiter modules.
PDF, CSV and JSON exports
- In the calendar workspace select Export, then Download PDF. This downloads a real, searchable A4 landscape PDF, not a screenshot or the browser print view. The task table contains ID, full task name, project, assignee, status, priority, start and due dates with times, and progress. Rows wrap to their content, remain together on a page, and repeat the table header and page numbering on every page.
- PDF and CSV follow the current task filters and sort order, including matching tasks outside the visible timeline or month. Check the displayed task count before downloading. PDF exports the selected calendar only; it never combines private workspaces. The calendar time zone appears in the report. An empty selection produces a clear empty report.
- Select Include task notes to append complete notes on separate pages. Long notes continue across pages with task references. Characters covered by the embedded font remain searchable, including accented Latin, Greek and Cyrillic text. Characters outside its font coverage are explicitly represented as [U+XXXX], rather than silently removed.
- The server verifies current membership, the selected task versions and workspace settings before producing the PDF. If another person changes a selected task, refresh before exporting. Read-only members can export calendars they can already view. The maximum is 5,000 tasks, one million title/note bytes and 500 pages per report; use filters for larger workspaces.
- JSON retains the full workspace data export, and CSV remains available for spreadsheets. Print current view remains the browser printing option; use Download PDF for the complete paginated task table.
Protection, integrity and recovery model
- Account-gated Demo packages must be verified to keep only the declared minimal runtime available until a valid signed license is activated. Customer data, credentials, signing material and internal release records must never be included.
- A downloaded WordPress ZIP remains technically inspectable. Confirmed-Account access, encryption at rest, user-bound expiring links, integrity checks, request limiting and crawler controls protect storage and delivery but do not claim impossible post-download DRM.
Administration and visibility
- Digiter Calendar Ultra uses the shared Digiter baseline: WordPress 6.6 or newer, PHP 8.2 or newer, HTTPS and MySQL/MariaDB with transactional InnoDB tables. PHP OpenSSL is required to verify licenses and signed updates; ZIP support is needed for WordPress package installation. Digiter Account is optional. Standard WordPress login, registration, profiles and a built-in subscription page remain available without it.
- The calendar supports WordPress shortcode pages and uses a shadow-root interface to reduce theme CSS conflicts. The full-window layout hides theme elements only on the calendar page. Embedded layout retains the surrounding website. Test page-builder and cache configurations on your own site; no universal third-party compatibility is claimed.
- Keep WordPress, Account and Calendar updated together. This release supports per-site activation on Multisite; network-wide Calendar activation is blocked. Shared-file updates require the appropriate WordPress/network capability. Domain-mapped sites need the matching domain license.
- Calendar → Calendar settings controls the installation name, support email, default layout, calendar-creation policy and optional frontend-only administration. Changing the name updates the WordPress menu, application branding and invitation subject. Existing workspace names, tasks and users are preserved.
- Use [digiter_calendar_ultra] on one canonical calendar page. For a theme-embedded page use [digiter_calendar_ultra layout="embedded"]. The full-window override is [digiter_calendar_ultra layout="fullscreen"]. Do not place personalised calendar pages in public full-page cache.
- New external installations initially allow WordPress administrators to create calendars. Enable All confirmed accounts only if you want other confirmed users to create their own independent workspaces. Existing installations preserve their previous creation policy during upgrade.
- Digiter Shop → Demo Downloads manages the reviewed Account-gated package. The current commercial release is validated and linked without a duplicate upload. Manual fallback accepts only the exact same current ZIP, version and SHA-256. Publish only after testing both unlicensed minimal mode and licensed full activation.
- With an active update entitlement, signed Shop releases appear automatically in WordPress Plugins and Dashboard Updates. Manual Check now, Update now and authorized rollback remain available in the product administration.
Typical operating workflow
- Download your delivery package from the purchase email or confirmed Digiter.org Account. Extract the delivery ZIP first; it contains two separate installable plugin ZIPs and installation notes.
- Optionally install the free Digiter Account 1.6.1 companion for branded accounts and avatars. Calendar also works with standard WordPress accounts when the companion is not installed.
- Install Digiter Calendar Ultra, then open Calendar → License. Compare the displayed domain with your order and paste the complete DNT1 key from the delivery email.
- In Calendar settings, enter your calendar name and support email. Choose the page layout and who may create calendars. Save before inviting colleagues.
- For a commercial service, open Calendar → PayPal payments and enable Charge customers for calendar access. Set your price and billing period, connect your PayPal account, and complete Business & privacy and Email delivery. Leave billing disabled for a private workspace.
- Open Calendar → Website & designs. Your calendar page is created automatically. Select Aurora or one of five other bundled designs; optionally make it your homepage. Confirm login and email delivery, then open your workspace.
- Create a task, choose its dates, assignee, colour and status, then invite a test colleague. Review their editor or guest permissions before inviting your team.
Account companion
- Calendar invitations use WordPress mail delivery and your configured support Reply-To. Use the existing authenticated mail service, or configure the optional Calendar Email delivery screen. Enabling bundled SMTP affects all WordPress mail, so do not run conflicting SMTP configurations.
- Send an explicit test to a mailbox you control and confirm delivery there. A successful mail-server acceptance is not proof of Inbox delivery. Check SPF/DKIM/DMARC with your provider if invitations are delayed or placed in spam.
- The optional Account handles confirmation, login, password recovery and profile pictures. Without it, Calendar uses native WordPress users and login, plus its own subscription page. Calendar on an external website does not create Shop orders or activate unrelated Digiter products. Shop purchase keys and protected buyer downloads remain in the buyer’s Digiter.org Account.
Operational considerations
- Open Calendar → Update and Rollback and choose Check for updates. With a valid license, the plugin requests a signed release manifest from Digiter.org. Available releases also appear under WordPress Plugins and Dashboard → Updates. Update now uses WordPress’s native upgrader.
- Enable automatic updates to use the same preference as the WordPress Plugins screen, or leave it off for manual control. Automatic installation additionally requires a release explicitly marked eligible in the signed Shop manifest. Feature/major releases remain manual under the shared Digiter update policy. WordPress scheduled jobs must run for automatic checks.
- Package signatures, expiry, trusted HTTPS destination and SHA-256 checksum are verified before a private update is installed. Missing license, invalid signature or a changed package stops the update. Manual local ZIP replacement remains an administrator WordPress action.
- Rollback offers the immediately previous signed compatible commercial release when one exists. The first commercial release has no earlier commercial rollback. Pre-commercial releases are not rollback targets. Rollback disables automatic updates to avoid immediately reinstalling the newer release; re-enable them when ready.
- Rollback replaces plugin files only. It does not rewind your tasks, memberships, configuration or database. Make a complete database/files backup before updates and restore the matching backup if data/schema recovery is required.
- This is a complex, actively maintained WordPress plugin. Despite pre-release testing, reproducible defects or compatibility issues can occur; confirmed product defects are corrected through maintained updates according to the customer’s active update entitlement.
Privacy, security and implementation boundary
Workspaces, tasks, dates, notes, resource labels, membership and invitation email addresses are stored in your WordPress database. Invitation tokens are hashed. Browser storage contains appearance/view preferences. Your site operator controls access, retention and the local mail/hosting providers. License verification is local. Private update checks send the product identifier, signed key, licensed domain and installed software versions to Digiter.org to authorize release access. Update requests do not send task names, notes or calendar contents. Use the suggested Calendar text in WordPress Privacy Policy Guide as a starting point and adapt it to your providers and retention rules. Export/erasure requests for shared workspace records require an administrator to resolve ownership and other members’ records. Do not assume deleting a WordPress account safely transfers shared calendars. Back up the digiter_calendar_* database tables, related WordPress users/options, plugin files and WordPress security salts. SMTP secrets are encrypted against the site’s salts. Deactivation/uninstall preserves calendar data; test a full restore before relying on a backup.
Support and troubleshooting
Cannot edit: check Calendar license expiry/domain, Account confirmation, workspace membership and role. A paid domain license does not override editor/guest permissions. A frontend invitation does not create an independent calendar unless the creation policy permits it. Login loops or stale data: exclude Account/calendar pages and authenticated REST requests from public caching, verify HTTPS and canonical URLs, then sign out/in. Check the browser’s saved language and appearance if the display differs between devices. Update not offered: verify the active license, installed version, WordPress cron, HTTPS connectivity to Digiter.org and whether a newer signed release was actually published. Click Check for updates. A product image or Shop description change alone is not a new plugin release. Before contacting [email protected], record the plugin, WordPress and PHP versions, order reference, domain, exact error and steps to reproduce. Do not post license keys, passwords, customer data or private tasks in a public support message.
Licensing, updates, support and ownership
A Digiter purchase grants the usage entitlement described by the selected product plan. It does not transfer copyright, source code ownership, trademarks, design rights, private signing material or proprietary implementation knowledge. Lifetime plans, where offered, refer to the stated software-use entitlement; update periods are shown separately in the Shop and purchase record.
Hosted Smart Cloud Monthly is an Account-bound service and is operationally different from a downloadable domain license. Standard plugin purchases may be completed as a guest where the Shop allows it, while Account-based purchases can remain associated with the verified Digiter Account.
Protected downloads and private updates are delivered through the Digiter Shop licensing system. Customers should retain their purchase email and license information and should not publish license keys publicly. For setup, licensing, delivery, update or product questions contact [email protected]. Digiter Team will investigate verified issues and work with the customer toward a practical resolution.
