Digiter Calendar Ultra
User guide

1. Sign in and open a calendar

Sign in through Digiter Customer Account. If registration is available, create an account and confirm the email address before using calendars. The selector shows only calendars you own or have joined. Registration alone does not give access to someone else's plans.

If your account has no workspace, ask its owner to invite you. The site administrator chooses whether all confirmed accounts or only administrators may create new personal calendars. A new calendar starts private.

2. Know your role

RoleWorkspace access
OwnerFull planning, task creation, settings and member management. Ownership is protected.
EditorAdd tasks and update existing tasks, colours, status, dates and dependencies. Cannot delete tasks, change settings or invite people.
GuestRead the shared workspace. Changes are locked.

3. Plan and organise

  1. Click + beside PROJECTS in the sidebar to create a project. Enter its name, optionally choose a colour, and select Create project or press Enter. The new project opens immediately. Team entry is not part of this flow. Workspace settings starts with projects; expand Team & resources — optional only when you need to configure people, teams or rooms. Existing resources and task assignments are preserved.
  2. Create a task with a name, start/end, assignee, project and status. Add notes, a checklist, estimate, progress or custom fields. Existing-task editors can update these fields within their role.
  3. Use a milestone for a single point in time. Scheduled subtasks roll their dates/progress up to the parent. Parent/dependency cycles are rejected.
  4. Switch between Timeline, Calendar, Board, List, Workload and Notes. Search and project/resource/status filters narrow the view. Saved views are stored in this browser.

4. Gantt, scheduling and task actions

Right-click a task or use its three-dot menu. Keyboard users can focus a task and press Shift+F10. Open details, copy a link/ID, locate the task, rename it, change status, priority, assignee, colour, dates or dependencies. Additional creation/deletion actions appear only for owners. Shared task links still require sign-in and calendar membership.

Drag tasks to change dates, use timeline edge handles to change duration, or enter dates in the editor. Dependencies are finish-to-start. Schedule settings define workdays, hours and holidays. Automatic scheduling previews related changes before saving. Concurrent edits are rejected rather than overwriting newer work. Undo/Redo operate on recent changes in this browser session.

Baselines save up to ten planning snapshots per calendar. Critical path, fit-project and workload views help review a schedule. Workload hours are planning estimates, not payroll or timekeeping records.

5. Appearance and weekends

The default is dark. Owners can adjust appearance, font, density and language. Task colours include classic, pastel, deep/neutral and neon palettes, plus a custom HEX colour. Select “Task colors” in the colour grouping to display them.

Weekend shading offers Soft shading, Diagonal stripes, Dots, Vertical lines, Soft gradient and Outline. Saturday/Sunday highlighting affects presentation only; work schedules remain under Schedule. Appearance preferences are stored per browser/workspace.

6. Invite and collaborate

Owners open Members & invitations, enter one email address and choose Editor or Guest. Links expire after seven days. The recipient signs in or registers with that exact address and accepts. Revoke a pending invitation or remove a member when access should end. Use Editor for someone who should add and update tasks without controlling sharing.

7. Troubleshooting and data

If an email is missing, check spam and ask the site operator to verify WordPress mail delivery. If an action is unavailable, check your calendar role. For a save conflict, refresh and reopen the task. Browser settings can be reset independently of tasks stored on the server.

CSV export downloads supported task data. Store exports privately. For support or a verified data-access/deletion request, contact the site's address below. Describe the action and error without sending passwords or unnecessary private calendar contents.

Profile pictures and who is here

Small round profile pictures show members currently viewing this calendar. Open the avatars to see their names. The list updates every 20 seconds; inactive connections disappear within 75 seconds. Invited people cannot send further invitations.

When the optional Account companion is active, open My picture to upload a JPG, PNG or WebP (up to 5 MB) or choose one of 20 included avatars. Without it, standard WordPress profile pictures are used. Calendar supports standard WordPress accounts and provides its own My account page for subscriptions and free codes.

Direct sign out and member actions

Sign out is always available in the calendar top bar and sidebar. It ends the current WordPress session and returns to the Calendar landing page without opening Account.

Right-click a member avatar or a member in the left sidebar. On touch screens open the presence list or Members & invitations and tap the member’s ⋯ button. Only the calendar owner or a WordPress site administrator already in that calendar can change roles, block/unblock or remove others. The owner and your own membership are protected.

Editor can add and update tasks; Guest can only read. Invited people cannot send further invitations. Blocking immediately removes calendar access and presence but keeps the membership and its reserved place until removal. Unblock explicitly as guest or editor. Removing membership revokes pending invitations and frees its place when it is not used in another calendar of the same owner. Accounts, other calendars and tasks are preserved.

Pending invitations have a Revoke invitation control and a context menu. A revoked link cannot be accepted. Right-click sidebar projects to open, create a permitted task, rename or delete the project; saved views can be opened, renamed or removed from this browser. Shift+F10 opens the menu; arrow keys navigate, Enter activates and Escape closes.

Choose the invitation role

Beside Email address, choose the invitation role: Guest · read only or Editor · can add and edit tasks. Guest is selected by default and cannot change the calendar. Editor can add tasks and update existing tasks and dates. Neither can invite others, change settings, block people or manage members. The selected role is recorded in the invitation email and applied when accepted.

A Guest may view the calendar to which they were invited without an owner subscription. After buying their own subscription, they may create and fully manage their own calendars as Owner, including invitations. Their subscription does not change their Guest role or grant editing or member-management rights in somebody else’s calendar.

Join an invited calendar or start your own

After registering and confirming the invited email address, return to the invitation and select Accept & open calendar. No personal subscription is required. Guest can read; Editor can add tasks and change existing tasks and dates. Neither can invite or manage members.

Pending invitations for the signed-in email appear before the example preview, including accounts created before this update. The calendar selection page lets you revisit pending invitations and open joined calendars. Expired, revoked, hidden or blocked invitations cannot grant access.

The separate Start your own calendar option opens subscription/access-code choices when required, or lets eligible owners enter a calendar name. Buying your own subscription never changes your role in someone else's calendar.

Account 1.6.1 preserves full invitation URLs through registration, activation in another tab and subsequent login. Standard WordPress login and registration remain supported without the optional Account plugin.

Automatic updates and the shared view

Open calendars check for changes every two seconds while the tab is visible. Task changes appear without reloading the browser. Updates wait until you finish editing or dragging, and reconnect automatically after a network interruption. If someone changes the same task, the server rejects the stale save rather than overwriting their work.

Month is the default timeline range. The calendar owner selects the shared Timeline or Calendar view, date and range (for example 2 weeks, Month or Year). Invited members follow that range. Search, grouping, language and appearance remain personal. Returning to a hidden tab checks for updates immediately.

To change a member's role, use their three-dot menu or right-click, choose Change role, select Guest — read only or Editor — can add and edit tasks, then click Save. The current role is shown above the selector. Guest cannot move, resize or save tasks. Role changes are enforced by the server immediately and appear in open sessions on the next check, including when a task form is open.

Deleting a project

Delete project is available in the project context menu to the calendar owner or a site administrator with calendar membership. Confirm the exact project name after reviewing the task count. The project, notes, tasks, subtasks and project baselines are deleted atomically; tasks in other projects remain, with references to deleted tasks removed. Concurrent changes stop deletion. Guest and Editor cannot delete projects. Deleting the last project leaves a usable empty calendar.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Export or move any tasks you want to keep before confirming. The confirmation dialog is cancelled without making changes. Open calendars receive the deletion through live updates.

Adaptive calendar dialogs

Short forms and confirmations use compact, content-sized dialogs. Task editors and very long forms retain a full-height side panel. Dialogs adapt when their content or screen size changes. Close is labelled in the header; header and footer actions remain visible while the content scrolls. Closing an unsaved task or new project brings the discard confirmation into view.

Timeline view options

Timeline opens with tasks only; phase, project and assignee summary rows are optional and off by default. View options beside the date-range selector lets each user enable summary bars and show or hide progress percentages on task bars. Changes apply immediately, are remembered per calendar in this browser and are included in saved views. Actual task progress, scheduling, permissions and the owner-controlled shared date range are unchanged.
